Hi, and welcome to this Gielink/Batteiger (and Allen/Rochford) family album. This will take a minute or two to load because it holds more than a dozen pictures.

The photo above, at left, shows the five children of George Gielink and Marguerite Allen. They are, from left to right, Dorothy, Elaine, Allen, Rosemary and Jim (my dad). Pictured above, at right, are Michael Rochford, William Allen and Marguerite Allen Gielink Batteiger (better known to my generation as Grammy.

My dad, Aunt Dot and Uncle Al are pictured above in about 1921 or '22.
Below, a very young Grammy is pictured between my great-great-grandfather,
Michael Rochford, and Grandpa Allen.

Grammy's three oldest children are pictured again, below.

My dad and Uncle Al were in an orphanage in Cleveland when this picture was taken.

Below are two pictures that are not fully identified. Is the man in the photo below George Gielink or Ralph Batteiger? The chin looks an awful lot like my dad's, but I'm not certain. And is the woman Grammy or her sister Dorothy (Big Aunt Dot)?
In the second photo, who is the woman with her hand on my dad's back? Could it be his grandmother, Maria Rochford Allen? I have no idea.
